Chair of the Management Group, Peter Kemp is Head of the Institute of Agriculture and Environment, Massey University, and Professor of Pasture Science. The Institute provides research, teaching and advice in a range of disciplines including agricultural systems, agribusiness, farm management, soil and earth sciences, environmental management, ecology, zoology, plant protection and plant science. Peter represents Massey University on the boards of the Bio-Protection Research Centre, Natural Hazards Platform, and The NZ Poplar and Willow Trust.
Peter is an active researcher in pasture science, agroforestry and agricultural systems and has supervised many PhD students from around the world. He gained his tertiary education in Australia and has a PhD in pasture science from University of New England.
