1st New Zealand Student Symposium on Life Cycle Management

This was the first NZ symposium for postgraduate students studying Life Cycle Assessment, environmental footprinting, industrial ecology and related topics

This event provided a forum for students and academics to discuss their research interests in Life Cycle Management

  • To hear about cutting-edge LCA/M work being undertaken in NZ
  • To become up-to-date with the latest developments in international carbon and water standards
  • As an opportunity to present their research to an informed audience

Presentations

Students were invited to submit abstracts for consideration as an oral presentation at the Symposium.  All abstracts accepted for the Symposium are published in the Symposium Proceedings.

PRIZE for Best Paper at the Student Symposium

A prize of $500 was awarded for the best presentation at the 2012 Student Symposium on Life Cycle Management. The prize is to be used towards the costs of attending a future event where the student will present their work. The prize was generously donated by PE INTERNATIONAL.

The winner of the prize for Best Paper was Jim Bier.
